Tormented by her lost love, went crying to the well. The story goes that at the first light of dawn, she was gone and all that remained of her was a silk scarf left on the porous stone. From that day on, the estate’s well, which took Donna Marzia’s name, filled with crystal clear water which made the fields fertile and lush.
