All fruit is harvested from the Whispering Hill vineyard that is situated on ancient granitic soils in the truly cool viticultural region of Mount Barker. The wine was vinified using a selected Shiraz yeast in open fermenters under closely controlled conditions. Two weeks after fermentation the wine was pressed directly into French oak barriques. During 12 months in oak the wine was minimally handled, fined using egg whites and bottled with minimal filtration.
